Does anyone run nitto trail grapplers on their stock rims? my ideal set up would be trail grapplers on xd addicts but i don't think i could justify that expense to my wife. i have found a couple pics. The 265/70/17's will fit on stock rims without a lift without any issues at all. they are basically the same height as the 245/75/17's that you now have as while they are slightly wider, they have a lower aspect ratio so the side walls are smaller relative to the width.. This 4 door jeep jk is sporting 295/70/17 tires on stock wheels with spidertrax 1.5 wheel spacers, jeep has no lift and no rubbing. (photo courtesy of jeepforum.com) (photo courtesy of jeepforum.com) remember going to a taller diameter tire will lift your wrangler jk a little higher up than stock, so it is possible you can rollover a little easier..

Anyone have pics of 295/70/17 tires on stock rims discussion in '3rd generation ram forum tommygun, wanna chime in. he has some 295/70/r17 on his stock rims. they are nitto's. dieselfiend, apr 10, 2006 #3. tomeygun. giachino said: 1. any pics? 2. who makes good at tires in that size? 3. how much perf hit will i take moving up to this size if i have 3. 73 gearing? 4. do you need a leveling. Tread widths can play a big part in what fits a wrangler jk. there is 5.5″ of backspacing on a jk and if you are going to run stock wheels an 11.5″ width is about the maximum tire size that will not rub on the suspension without wheel spacers. many tires come in the 33×12.50 size but the 12.50 width will cause rubbing. several tire makers have a 295/70r17 size which is a good in-between.
